Busy busy busy!!

Darling Baby Kay, it has been another hectic week and I have no idea how we managed to get to Thursday already. There were no babies this week, but lots of other things happening. On Sunday we went up to the farm for lunch - we passed on church after the last 2 Sunday experiences, where you lasted about 3 minutes the first, and then about 20 seconds the second. People say they don't mind the histrionics, and I am convinced that you would settle in a few minutes (I think it is just the crowd that unsettles you) but there are unfortunately a few less than charitable people who do a wonderful line in shooting over a dead-eye stare, which shames me into whisking you out! Instead we put you in your pink shortie doogeroos and headed off to see the hens and the cattle!

We met up on Monday with C and S at Sprucefield - C tells me that S is going through the terrible 3's, and she is certainly lively and determined to do her own thing. You were just completely fascinated watching her flitting about, and every time C shouted at S you looked at me as if to say 'What are those 2 playing at??' I know that I have all that ahead at some point down the line - your waggling finger and shaking head when I tell you 'No, that's only for Mummy's, not for babies' will probably be replaced with some feet stamping of your own!

Today we were up seeing Nanny, which was a little tricky as I was out with Auntie J last night for dinner and a film, and was in bed late. So I was tired and have an upset tummy (from all the veggies in my diet at the moment as I try to lose weight!) and you were just tired, because you are resolutely refusing to sleep in the car when we are out now. I used to rely on it for you doze over on the 90 minute drive to Nanny's, but now there is too much to see and do when we are out - so I might have to rethink the logistics of our out and about-ings!

Needless to say you took your bedtime milk in one go, and were asleep before I crossed the landing! And I will not be too far behind you little darling! Sweet dreams x x

Perfect timing! I was thinking of you, wondering if you liked the band I just posted about on my blog...another old song, and a Scottish band. Yeah, yeah, whatever...I seriously was thinking I bet baby Kay is in bed, and I wonder what Fiona is doing.

Miss BK looks cute as a button in her Oshkosh. I would have Bri wear those if she would. I miss dressing the girls in matching Oshkosh outfits.

Oh, I just hated it when people would tell me to relish each minute of babyhood. Now, it is my turn. The terrible twos and threes aren't so bad. Just wait for the terrible twenties. Not that I would know...

Miss BK look adorable in her little pink Oshkosh overall. I used to wears Oshkosh overalls and maybe pants when I am younger. I remember it. Now I don't have clothes that is Oshkosh. I would like to buy Oshkosh jeans or overall if I can find these in Mall.

How fun to take Amelie to a farm. I can't wait until fall and we can take Mary to the petting zoo and pumpkin patch. Mary loves to watch older children play too. And Oh yes, they do develop a mind of their own, it takes a lot of patience and prayer to get that will curbed in the right direction! Have a wonderful day dear friend. I hope you get to feeling better and your upset stomach goes away and you can get some rest. Love, Elena

Hi Sweet Fiona, I can't imagine anyone shoooting a dead stare at our little Amelie!! Have they no heart? Sad indeed. But I'm sure she loved the cows and hens just as well!!

As for weight loss...I am right there with ya, and have been putting on muscle without the scale dropping!! Frustrating, but it will work out eventually!

Love and hugs to you my dear friend. It seems we both have been somewhat absent from blogland. Just trying to keep God's priorities...so hard sometimes, you know? But He is faithful and will do it!!

Have a joyful week, and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Love ya,
Becky

I think people who shoot evil looks at children (and their parents) in church should be reminded from the pulpit what the Bible says about children!! We get that here too, and it makes me crazy. You, however, are far more charitable than I. I stay in the sanctuary just to spite them!! I guess that's not very Christ-like either, is it?

My mom has always said that three is much more 'terrible' than two because three year olds are being defiant, whereas two year olds are just exploring the world. That is, of course, unless you have a three year old AND a two year old and the three year old teaches the two year old to skip straight to defiance... But I wouldn't know anything about that...

Glad you got out for dinner and a movie; what a treat. Hang in there on the car sleeps, I bet Baby Kay will be back to taking them as soon as she realizes the scenery is the same on every trip to Nanny's.

Love to you, dear.
